BTP Systems and Terabeam/HXI Form Strategic Partnership to Jointly Market and Support their Related Services 

 

May 10, 2006, Ludlow, MA – BTP Systems LLC, a provider of technical services, depot repair, fabrication and system integration for DoD electromechanical systems, (www.btpsystems.com), has established a formal strategic teaming partnership with Terabeam/HXI of Haverhill, MA to provide joint marketing and program execution support of related SATCOM and wireless program in both military and commercial sectors. Terabeam/HXI was founded in 1992 as Harmonix Corporation. The Company was a pioneer in the development of 60 GHz, high data rate communication links to connect buildings where fiber was not readily available or was too expensive to install. In 2000, Harmonix became the first company to obtain certification for a radio product under the FCC regulations for the 57-64 GHz band, and in 2003 it became the first to offer a Gigabit data rate radio at 60 GHz. The background of the founders and other employees allowed the Company to establish a complementary millimeter wave components and subsystems business, servicing government contractors, subcontractors, government entities and educational institutions. Products included low noise and power amplifiers, mixers, multipliers, oscillators, switches, ferrite devices and custom components and subassemblies. Today, Terabeam/HXI is a division of Terabeam, Inc., a public company traded on the NASDAQ as TRBM. A team of top sales representatives and resellers helps to insert Terabeam/HXI products into radar and communications systems worldwide. It’s millimeter wave radios are sold through Proxim Wireless, another division of Terabeam.
