Engineering Technician
V
Perform non routine and
complex assignments pertaining to the evaluation, disassembly, repair,
refurbishment and testing of military SATCOM subsystems. Assists lead engineer to outline
objectives, requirements and design approaches. Reviews completed work
for technical adequacy and satisfaction of requirements. May train and be assisted by lower
level technicians. Contact personnel in related activities to resolve
problems and coordinate the work. Analyze and integrate the technical
work of others. Tasks may include:

Perform
incoming visual and configuration inspections of systems
·
Supervise the
execution, completion and data collection of detail tasks per prescribed
work instructions
·
Assist in planning
tests to evaluate equipment performance.
Determines test requirements, equipment modification, and test
procedures.

Conduct tests
or experiments; analyzes and reports results
·
From general
guidelines and specifications, develops designs for equipment without
critical performance requirements
This position reports
directly to the Operations Manager.
Candidate minimum
requirements: technical school diploma with 7 years directly relevant
experience, OR an associate’s degree in a technical field with 5 years
directly relevant experience.
