System’s utilizes an on-site indoor Compact
Antenna Test Range (CATR) for its antenna and
antenna pedestal system-level testing. This
range is one of very few CATR’s outfitted to
perform testing at millimeter wave
frequencies. The range is complemented by the
use of a three- axis position controller and two
interchangeable positioners: an Orbit two axis
Azimuth-over-Elevation and a Scientific Atlanta
three axis
Azimuth-over-Elevation-over-Azimuth. The RF
test equipment allows us to make both traditional
amplitude measurements and complex phase
measurements. Typical measurements include
antenna patterns, gain and axial ratio. By
using an indoor CATR, we can offer 24- hour-a day,
seven-day-a- week capacity that is unimpaired by
outdoor weather conditions.
